The name was given to her the first day she arrived home. It was like a panda, very unique, and very rare to see, because there are few of them. Panda was the first modified van here in Europe and was the precursor of all this crazy idea. Made practically of 75% with recycled and reused materials; wood, floor, handles, kitchen, electricity, almost everything ended up as part of Panda's essence, incorporated harmonically within the build's design concept. Having a lot of surface in the kitchen and the most possible amount of space to move within her, the bed played a second role since the area of higher use was going to be the dining room. Like the rest of the Vans, the intention was always to make her as warm as possible, transforming it into a small home where I would spend the rest of my time in Europe. As that van was thought for me, had heaps of storage, because I always give priority to that. I was taking advantage of every corner to make mini-drawers or shelves, even the drawers under the bed were thought this way to leave the kitchen area free as much as possible That's how my desire to build another one was born, and so was the desire to create Toba.
